6 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climbing

Overview – 6 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climb

The 6 Days Marangu Route is one of the most popular and classic ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” it offers a more comfortable trekking experience with hut accommodation, making it ideal for travelers seeking a less rugged but still rewarding adventure in Tanzania.

This route approaches the mountain from the southeastern side and follows a well-established trail through diverse and beautiful landscapes—from lush rainforest and moorlands to alpine desert and the arctic summit zone. The 6-day itinerary includes an extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut, helping your body adjust to altitude and improving your chances of successfully reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m).

With its gradual ascent and straightforward path, the Marangu Route is perfect for first-time climbers as well as those looking for a more comfortable climb. Throughout the journey, you will be supported by a professional team of experienced guides, porters, and cooks, ensuring your safety, comfort, and an unforgettable adventure to the Roof of Africa.
